ICS hosted a special event during the NSW Seniors Festival 2024 on Monday 18th March. The NSW Road Safety Team in conjunction with our local Services NSW Office and the guys from Inverell Mobility came together to deliver informative sessions on topics relevant to older drivers. With over 70 attendees we were pleased with the attendance and received some really positive feedback about each of the sessions delivered on the day.
We were reminded how to be a safer driver and what to consider when driving as an older person. We also learnt about the licensing rules as we get older, and the driver testing involved as we age. It was also good to see some of the mobility scooters available from Inverell Mobility and learnt that when riding a mobility scooter we are deemed a pedestrian.
For anyone that attended that was no longer driving our Services Manager, Sally Walters outlined the transport options available through ICS’s community transport service along with all the other great services we offer.
